Updating Google Maps Place Data

Regular visitors to the site should notice that place data for all projects are currently being updated in order to get all individual maps to work. Anyone wanting to help with this mammoth task is very welcome. If so, please click www.whosyerdad-e.com/register.html and select the project you'd like to edit from the list at Option 2.

Media Firewall Implemented.

All GEDCOM images will now reside in a secure area of the server and have been watermarked for public viewing. This allows for some protection against your original photos from being copied.

The watermarks disappear for users when logged in to their projects and when their browser has been refreshed.

Lightbox Module installed.

For any individual page that includes photographs etc., an Album tab has been included so that all photographs can be viewed in a slide show. With the slideshow activated, the rest of the screen dims and some background music plays. What do you think?

Research Assistant Module installed.

The Research Assistant Module, visible only to members and shown on every individual's page, allows both free memembers and paying subscribers to automatically search the following websites:

Google Maps Module Installed.

Providing place data is entered correctly, a Google Map can now be seen by selecting the appropriate tab on any individual's page. For a couple of examples, please select either of the following individuals:
